Lightbulb Why do my light bulbs keep blowing?

I feel like I keep having to constantly replace all my light bulbs just waaaaaay too often. Right now like 6 out of the 9 light bulbs in my place have blown. I've been living in darkness for like the past few weeks because I've just gotten tired of having to replace them over and over again only for them to blow soon after.

I've recently bought like a set of 4 new light bulbs a week ago (they're like cheap, white ones from the dollar store...does that matter?) but after some testing I finally realized that one of my lamps just stopped working!! and the new light bulbs I bought doesn't fit in the rest of my lamps.

The 6th light bulb blew just now, and now I can't see myself in the mirror in the bathroom, and I can't do my hair, and I prefer not to have to brush my teeth, shower, etc in darkness....and the short winter days aren't exactly helping -.-

Soo.....is it because my lamps suck? The light bulbs I buy are always bad or wrong? Do I need to pay attention to the number of Watt? :S

Has anyone close to you died recently?

I never had any problem with my lightbulbs until my best friend died and now I'm replacing them constantly and they flicker when I walk into the room. I dunno, but lots of mediums say that spirits manipulate energy around lights to try to get our attention.

Generally the cheaper ones last less time.

try some energy saving lightbulbs (they come in funny shapes)

they last forever (Although the light is a little dimmer ;/)

It could be a lot of things, from loose connections anywhere from the socket to your fuse board, to a faulty switch or a faulty bulb holder (you might wanna check it for signs of corrosion).

Do you have them on all the time/keep turning them on and off? Might be another reason why.

    I have no idea!! D:

Okay I just checked, I'm not seeing any corrosion...It's probably loose connections I guess since the light bulb holder thing is sorta loose...*sigh*

I try not to have them on all the time...I don't know what's normal but I try to remember to turn them off whenever I don't need them (I usually don't have them on when I am out / sleeping)...other than that they'll be on.....or is it better to leave them on instead of turning them on and off?

Nuuuu. Definitely don't leave them on when you're out/sleeping. That'll just make it worse. And the ... uhm ... top thing of my lightbulb holder is loose, like it wobbles and stuff, but it seems like I've had the bulb for ages, so I don't think that's the problem.

Try the every saving lightbulbs like Leo said; they might help.

it sounds like something is wrong with your electric, rather than the holding thingys themselves (as it's in different places each time, yes?).

I'm no help at all, sorry.

You're right...perhaps there's something wrong with the circuitry or whatever...=/ My bed room and kitchen counter lights haven't died for as long as I can remember....hmm.

I never turn on the light at my door entrance because it just auto-blows whenever I do D: It's scary....so sometimes I just tend to leave my door open to get some of the hallway light since it's on 24/7
